The Blankschtein Research Group at MIT is searching for postdoctoral applicants with a strong background in theory and simulations to work on research problems related to the transport of pure fluids and electrolytes under confinement. The ideal candidate should have a PhD in chemical engineering/mechanical engineering/materials science/physics/chemistry or related disciplines from a top-tier university with a proven track record of publications using quantum chemical and/or classical molecular dynamics simulations. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with several leading research groups as part of the Center for Enhanced Nanofluidic Transport (https://cent.mit.edu/), an Energy Frontier Research Center, funded by the Department of Energy. Interested candidates should contact Professor Blankschtein directly through email (dblank@mit.edu), and include a copy of their CV, a brief research statement highlighting their expertise and research interests, and three selected publications.
